Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

The story

Introduced in 2016 to replace ref. 116523, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 116503 carries the collection’s motorsport design into a steel-and-yellow-gold setting. Its fixed yellow-gold bezel bears an engraved tachymetric scale, used with the chronograph to calculate average speed over a known distance. Superseded by ref. 126503 in 2023, it represents a distinct chapter in the Daytona story. This example is specified with Rolex’s manufacture automatic calibre 4131 and a 72-hour power reserve. Dating from 2022, this Daytona pairs a 40 mm case with an elegant champagne index dial. Yellow Rolesor combines 904L Oystersteel with 18 ct yellow gold, continued through the matching Oyster bracelet. The champagne surface and yellow-gold accents bring warmth to the watch’s purposeful layout, catching light as the wrist turns. Presented in as-new condition, it balances the presence of a sports chronograph with a more refined character. It comes as a Full Set, including its original box, manual and dated Rolex warranty card.
