The story

Introduced in 1996, the Cartier Tank Française brought a new chapter to the Tank’s rectangular design language. The Tank Française XXL Chronoflex, ref. W5101455, takes that character into a distinctive chronograph format, powered by the quartz cal. 212P movement. It offers a different rhythm for the Tank: the familiar rectangular outline, with a chronograph display giving the design another layer to explore. Dating to circa 2000–2005, this example pairs a silver dial with a 30 mm steel case and a fitted brown leather strap. The contrast between steel, silver and brown gives it a restrained presence on the wrist, equally worth considering with a shirt cuff or a more relaxed sleeve. Offered in Very Good condition, it retains a clear identity within the broader Tank family. The watch comes with its box.
