The story

Launched at Baselworld in 2015, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39 ref. 114300 brought a 39 mm case to the collection’s restrained, no-date design. Its five-year run ended in 2020. Often called a “GADA” — Go Anywhere, Do Anything watch, it balances everyday versatility with quiet refinement. Inside, the automatic Rolex calibre 3132 provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve, with a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. This 2019 example pairs a steel case and smooth, domed bezel with a steel Oyster bracelet. The celebrated Red Grape dial is, despite its name, a deep, iridescent purple: its sunray finish shifts as your wrist turns towards the light. Small red square pips at the ends of the hour markers distinguish this 39 mm version from the 36 mm model. Luminous baton hands and markers at 3, 6 and 9 aid low-light reading. Presented in excellent condition, it is listed as not yet due for service. Supplied as a Full Set with box and papers, this discontinued colour offers particular collector appeal and is now found primarily through pre-owned specialists such as Pertempus.
