The story

Contemporary reporting places the Tudor Black Bay S&G’s introduction in 2017, bringing a two-tone interpretation to the vintage-inspired Black Bay family. This ref. 79733N-008 pairs that design character with the manufacture calibre MT5612, a COSC-certified automatic movement with a date and approximately 70 hours of power reserve. Its silicon balance spring and full balance bridge distinguish it from the ETA-powered movements of the earliest Black Bay generation. This 2018 example has a matte black dial within a 41 mm stainless-steel case with yellow-gold components. A unidirectional rotating dive bezel with a black aluminium insert frames the dial beneath a domed sapphire crystal. The steel-and-gold riveted Oyster bracelet continues the two-tone palette around the wrist, its three-link construction balancing the dark dial with the warmth of gold. Presented in good condition, it offers a measured contrast of materials rather than an overt display. Accompanied by its box and papers, this watch is offered as a Full Set.
